• A small handful of fresh mint leaves or other herbs
  • 3 dashes celery bitters 
  • 2 tsp elderflowers syrup 
  • 3½ fl oz (100ml) extra dry tonic water
  • 3-4 thin ( 2mm) slices of cucumber


Place the mint leaves or other herbs with some ice in a long drink glass and pour over the bitters, elderflowers

syrup, lemonade, and tonic water. Add the cucumber slices to the drink. Stir gently once again and serve.

*If you ever needed proof that nonalcoholic drinks don't have to turn out dull, overly sweet, and unsubtle, here it is.

Instead of mint, you could also substitute other fresh herbs or choose a combination.
